Hello! Welcome to D&C, a wedding photography service dreamed up on the New Hampshire seacoast. I wanted to start something that brought together all of my favorite things- meeting new people, working closely with talented friends, and exploring places near and far. This journey allows me to work on something meaningful, while continually moving forward with photography. It is our mission to capture your wedding day with all the love that you and your family bring to it. -Alex
My photography career has always followed my path of exploration. It started with developing film in my high school dark room, but quickly led to my camera becoming as much a part of my day-to-day as my keys and wallet. While going to school for my BA, I took almost any photo job I could find- trying to squeeze in shoots between ‘regular work’ and ‘schoolwork’. It wasn’t the most fun schedule, but I was able to complete a large scale personal project before I graduated. You can check it out here.
I first got into wedding photography in 2012, and once again discovered a new passion within photography. My ‘style’ could be called assisted photo-journalism, but more than that my goal is to shoot the love. You bring so much passion to your wedding, and capturing those little moments of bliss are what I absolutely love about this job. Moment’s you didn’t even realize were happening- making those photos and capturing the love you bring is second to none in my book. This journey of photography has been one of the most rewarding adventures I have had, and I hope to share it with you.
I am a photographer located just north of Boston, Massachusetts. My passion for photography started at a young age, even though I did not learn how to work a camera until years later. As a kid, I loved thumbing through the latest National Geographic to explore the world through the images in the magazine. Years later, I picked up a cheap Canon camera off of craigslist and started shooting local snowboarders to recreate the hundreds of snowboarding photos that covered my bedroom walls. That’s when I became hooked on photography and capturing the world around me.
MacKenzie discovered her interest in photo and video work in her undergrad years at Westfield State, and has spent the past 8 years shooting freelance of all facets. From portraiture, to dirt bikes, to mountains and weddings, MacKenzie has been busy in her practice and has found a way to tie it in to all of her favorite hobbies. She has a tasteful eye for golden hour lighting and composition, and her work can be seen in many action sport magazines. Although a lot of her free time is spent shooting, she enjoys spending time with her furry four-legged friend, Phinn.
